THEFT OF IRON ALLEGED
VALUE DECLARED TO BE OVER £BOO CHRISTCHURCH MAN REMANDED. By Telegraph—Press Association. Christchurch, Oct 13. The theft of a quantity of iron between February, 1930, and September, 1933, valued at £855, the property of John Lysaght Ltd., was a charge preferred against James Baden Hamilton Pett, a storeman, aged 33, this morning. He. was remanded until Tuesday. The chief detective said that Pett was arrested yesterday. The information was subject to an amendment, but the amount involved would probably reach four figures.
