SOUTH TARANAKI BOWLS

INTER-CLUB COMPETITION DRAW. KAPONGA IN SATURDAY SECTION. South Taranaki bowling club delegates met on Thursday at Hawera and it was decided to conduct the competition on the same lines as last year, in two sections, Wednesday an£ Saturday. Two rounds will be played in each section and the winners will play-off for the southern division championship. The teams entered are:— Wednesday section: Opunake, Manala, Park and Hawera. Saturday section: Patea, Kaponga, Park, Hawera, No. 1 and Hawera No. 2. The Kaponga club is playing in the southern division for the first season and will add interest to the Saturday competition. Fixtures for the first round were decided as follows, the second round being the same with the grounds reversed: — Wednesday Competition. Nov. 8: Manaia v. Park at Manaia; Opunake v. Hawera at Opunake. Nov. 15: Hawera v. Park, at Hawera; Manaia v. Opunake, at Manaia. Nov. 22: Park v. Opunake, at Park; Hawera v. Manaia, at Hawera. Saturday Competition. Nov. 4: Hawera No. 1 v. Patea, at Hawera; Park v. Hawera No. 2, at Park; Kaponga a bye. Nov. 11: Kaponga v. Park, at Kaponga; Hawera No. 2 v. Hawera No. 1, at Hawera; Patea a bye. ~ Nov. 18: Hawera No. 1 v. Park, at Hawera; Patea v. Kaponga, at Patea; Hawera No. 2 a bye. Nov. 25: Kaponga v. Hawera No. 1, at Kaponga; Hawera No. 2 v. Patea, at Hawera; Park a bye. Dec. 2: Hawera No. 2 v. Kaponga, at Hawera; Patea v. Park, at Patea; Hawera No. 1 a bye.
