OPUNAKE COURT CASES
JUDGMENTS GIVEN FOR DEBT. Judgment by default was given at the Opunake Magistrate’s. Court yesterday in the following claims: E. A. Poole v. Mate Cullen, £1 14s. lOd. (costs £1 25.); Egmont County Council v. W. J. Lawrence, £lO 9s. 2d. (£1 Ils.). On judgment summonses the following orders were made: Marcus Sutton to pay R. Baker £l3 12s. 6d. ; in default four days’ imprisonment, the warrant to be suspended on payment of 10s. per month; O. G. Northcroft to pay R. E. Peat £1 95., in default three days’ imprisonment; M. J. Eynon to pay J. Fary £5 7s. 5d., in default seven days’ imprisonment.
Whare Rangi, for failing to send his son to the Rahotu school between September 25 and 29, was convicted and ordered to pay costs. •
