PEDIGREE BULL FAIR

BRIGHT SALE AT INGLEWOOD. KEEN COMPETITION; GOOD PRICES. There was a very large attendance of buyers at the Inglewood pedigree bud fair yesterday, and a very satisfactory sale, claimed by the auctioneers, Messrs Newton King Ltd., to be tne best held at Inglewood, was held. Representative entries from practically all the leading breeders in the district were received, about 50 bulls being catalogued, and only about four animals were passed in. The sale was keen and steady all-through, and definitely showed that bulls with a good backing were wanted. Atkinson Bros, were the biggest vendors, entering five animals, and they also made top price with the ttvo-year-old Sproston Teddy, which brought 22 guineas. The bulls offered were Jerseys with the exception of Mr. O. S. Blackbourn’s pedigree Ayrshire Gleneden Royal Glum, which was bought r Mr. C. Foreman, Tikorangi, for 9J guineas. After the pedigree sale was over about 20 grade bulls were offered and sold particularly well. Two-year-olds in fair condition only made up to £5 15s, and extra good yearlings ranged from £4 12s 6d to £6 2s Gd. Competition was keen.
