HAT J, TO BE PAINTED. Tenders for painting the hall were considered at a special meeting of the Kaimata hall committee on Thursday night. Those present were Messrs. N. Bracegirdle (chairman), J. Moratti (secretary), J. V. Buchanan, and .G. Herlihy, and John Dobson, representing the trustees. The chairman stated before painting could be commenced some rotten timber in the window frames would need replacing. This would occupy a man two days. A sum would have to be set aside also for meeting the insurance premium and the lighting. After a brief discussion it was decided to accept the quotation of Messrs. Flyger and Carter for the material, and the tender of Mr. J. L. Mischefski for the painting. The work on the hall is to be commenced at the beginning of next week. As soon as painting is completed it is proposed to have the supper rooms, stage and ■ dressing rooms thoroughly cleansed in preparation for season. Should there be sufficient funds remaining after paying for painting the hall, it is intended to paint the wall of the supper room white so as to reflect the light back onto the card and supper tables. Future improvements to be discussed are the lining of the outside walls of the supper room and the erection of a ticket office. The painting of the hall is the third large work in connection with the. building tliis year. Personal Items. Mr. D.
