SPORTS ASSOCIATION MEETS. A meeting of the Inglewood Country Schools’ Sports Association was held at Inglewood on Saturday. Those present were Messrs. J. Klermer (chairman), I. V. Buchanan, H.' Marsh, G. Barnes, L. Brown, M. Nolan and A. Fryer-Raisher. The chairman stated that the meeting had been called to complete arrangements for the combined concert and dance and to consider purchasing trophies to be presented to the winning teams at football and basketball. each year. He was in favour of having a trophy of some sort as it would keep a record of the championship winners each year. . It was decided to procure trophies, but to wait until after the concert and dance before doing so in order to see what funds were available. Members favoured the football and basketball trophies being in the form of shields. It was decided to have the names of all schools which have won the football and basketball competitions since their inception inscribed upon the shields. The secretary stated that he had engaged a hall for the concert and dance. It was decided to ask all the contributing schools to notify the secretary of the items they intended to present so as to avoid overlapping and to allow the programme to be drawn up.
