SUCCESSFUL DANCE. The basketball club girls held a euchre party. and dance in the Lincoln Road Hall on Friday night. There was a large attendance. Mr. B. Anderson had charge of the euchre and Mr. D. Sarten was master of ceremonies. The ladies’ euchre prize (a lacy jumper) was won by Mrs. B. Hunt, Dudley Road (10 games). The men’s prize went to Mr. R. O’Keefe, Inglewood (11 games). Visitors were present from Lepperton, Waitara, Huirangi, Inglewood, Stratford, Lepper Road, Waiongona and Dudley Road. Splendid music was supplied by Harris Bros.’ orchestra. An extra was played by Miss Kibby, Waitara. Songs contributed by Mr. Casey and yodelling numbers by Mr. Indervinsen were much appreciated. The Monte Carlo waltzes were won by Mr. and Miss Reeves, Lepper Bpad, and Miss Saywell and Mr. Bridge (Inglewood).
