MEN DEFEAT THE LADIES. MATCH WON BY SIX TO FOUR. \ The men conceded five bisques to the ladies, who played off their own tees, in the Men v. Ladies match at Patea during the week-end, which resulted in six wins for the men and four for the ladies. The games were keenly contested in an enjoyable match in perfect weather. Details are:— Misses K. Hurley and Gibson lest to Hunger and Fraser. Mrs. Mcßae and Hemingway won from Harris and Currie. z Misses N. Hurley and Harris won from Young and Sheild. Mrs. Harris and Miss Gibbings halved with Wither and Hughes. Mrs. Roberts and Miss Bourke won from Gilbert and S. Honeyfield. Miss Power and Mrs. Wither won from McWilliam and K. Honeyfield. Miss W. Hurley and Mrs. Drummond lost to Roots and C. R. Honeyfield. Miss Carey and Mrs. Haddow lost to Meharry and L. Honeyfield. Misses O’Sullivan and Kuhfuss lest to Broughton and Drummond. Misses Wyboume and Heinold lost to Lester and Tuohy. Mesdames Lester and Mitchell lost to W. Honeyfield and Mellor.
