“UNDESIRABLE ELEMENT”
TWO THIEVES SENTENCED. BOTH HAD LONG LISTS. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Sept. 1. Robert Bruce McKinley, aged 34, and Henry Ralph Hagan, aged 29, were each sentenced to two years’ reformative detention by Mr. E. Page, S.M. They pleaded guilty to, charges of the theft of goods to the total value of £27 13s. The thefts were committed at Taihape and Otaki, and the articles were sold during their peregrinations. It was stated that they had long lists of previous convictions and belonged to an undesirable element.
