Mr. and Mrs. Haselden and Miss Enid Haselden were farewelled on the railway station on Tuesday morning by a large number of friends and well-wish-ers, when they left to reside at Timaru. Mrs. W. Hodge, Miss A. Hodge and Miss Rona Pople have returned from a visit to Wellington. On Friday evening Miss Joan Coleman entertained a number of friends at a bridge party. Those present were Mrs. N. Douglas, Misses D. Meyrick (Hamilton), B. Masters, A. Uniacke, M. Washer (Hawera), J. Bremner, D. Polson (Wanganui), Z. Masters, M. Malone, H. Bremner, M. Lyons, O. Masters, M. Skoglund and C. Uniacke. Among those at the band dance in the Parish Hall on Tuesday were Mesdames White, McCaskill, Clarke, Attrill and Vinsen, Misses Cooke (2), Elgar, Halkett (Wanganui), M. Lamplough, D. Pearce, M. .Brown, McAllum (Tariki), Barry, Kiwel (2), H. Trotter and M. McCluggage. The Church of England card party on Monday was attended by 100 players.
