WEDDINGS
SYMES-JULIAN. The wedding took place at St. John s Church, Otakeho, on August 9, by the Rev. C. W. Solomon, of Leonard Wilkinson, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Symes, Auroa, to Kate Esther, fifth daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Julian, Dingle Road, Otakeho. The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a pretty saxe blue lightweight Woollen frock with hat, shoes and stockings to tone. She carried a bouquet of white flowers and maidenhair fern. Miss Nellie Julian, sister of the bride, was bridesmaid. She wore a nigger brown ensemble with hat, shoes and stockings to match. Her toilette was completed with a posy in autumn colourings. The bridegroom was attended by his brother, Mr. Peter Symes, as best man. A reception was held at the residence of the bride’s parents. Mrs. Julian received her guests wearing a black georgette frock with hat to match. In the evening Mr. and Mrs. Julian entertained a number of friends.
