Mrs. R. Gibson and Miss Kura Gibson, Wellington, are the guests of Miss Gibson, Patea. Mrs. W. T. Armstrong, who has been away on holiday, is expected to return this week-end. Mrs. E. C. Fowler, Northcote, has returned to Auckland after a short holiday at Patea. Mesdames T. E. Roberts, S. Mcßae and Miss T. Gibson were competitors at the Hawera ladies’ golf tournament. Miss P. Fullarton, Alton, has left for the Whakatane district. Mrs. T. Foreman was hostess at an enjoyable parjy at Alton in aid of the Alton district candidate in the queen carnival. Mrs. Sutherland, Alton, who has been holidaying in Hawke’s Bay, is expected to return to-day. • Miss M. Gilligan has returned to Patea, having completed her training at the Stewart Karitane Hospital, Wanganui. Miss E. Gibbs, Wellington, has- been visiting her parents at Alton.
