OSTENTATION BARRED. f MUSSOLINI’S ORDER TO FASCISTS. Signor Mussolini issued two orders, in one day last month which are exciting much comment. One signed by his own hand warned the high officials of the Fascist party that the present time' is unsuitable for junketing and frequenting expensive restaurants and pleasure resorts. Fascists of even the highest class must live simply and among the people and abstain from a- display of wealth. • • ’ : . j The other order related to the Italian theatres, vyhich are suffering from the troubles of the stage all the world over. Not more than six or fewer than four i theatrical companies are invited to compete for bonuses amounting to £3OOO for the best acting and the production of the largest number of plays written by Italians. It is stipulated that the plays shall be produced during the eight months of the. theatrical season, which starts in October. ’ They must survive throughout that period to qualify for the bonus. Two Bulgarian Princesses have applied for membership of the Women’s Fascist party. They are Princess Eudoxia of Bulgaria and Princess Nadejda, Duchess of Wurtemberg. They are sisters of King Boris, who is married to a daughter of the King of Italy. The Princesses 'are staying near Lake Garda,
