KIORE DISTRICT NEWS

YOUNG PEOPLE’S DANCE. An enjoyable ‘social and dance in aid of the church was held in the Klore hall by the young people on Tuesday night, there being a good attendance. Songs were sung by Mrs. Edwards and Mr. Mack Knox, while “Two Little Girls in Blue” was sung and danced by Rene Patterson and Molly Knox. A duet was played by Miss S. Mounsey (piano) and the Rev. Fussell (cornet). Some humorous items were given by -Mr. Fussell. The music was supplied by Misses R. Knox, S. Mounsey, N. Hasler and Mrs. Edwards, Mr. Fussell and Mr. Patterson. The Monte Carlo waltz was won by Miss L, Knox and Mr. L. Foreman. Mr. J. Knox was master of ceremonies. Misses Rena and Betty Knox have returned home after spending a fortnight’s holiday with Mrs. O. Lofroth, Toko.' Mrs. J. Verco and. family have returned after spending a holiday at Wellington. Miss T. Stone, late of Wellington, is the guest of Mrs. G. Stockley. Mrs. Rowson’ has returned from her holidays in the Stratford district. Mrs. R. Kemp has returned after spending a holiday at Matau with Mrs. L. Chapman.' Messr 7 Walter and Andy Todd have returned to Rahotu after a fortnight’s holiday with their parents. Mr. and Mrs. Chelly and family have taken up their residence in the Kiore district.
