LINER’S ENGINES DAMAGED

DEPARTURE FOR SYDNEY. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, August 31. The C. and D. motor liner Port Fremantle was towed into Cook Strait by the tug Toia to-day and proceeded to Sydney on her port engine, the Toia remaining with her in the strait. The Port Fremantle expects to reach Sydney on Wednesday. The starboard engine is out of action.
