IRISH LAKE DISAPPEARS
HAPPENS ONCE IN CENTURY. WATER SUDDENLY REAPPEARS. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. London, August 30. An Irish lake which, according to tradition, disappears for a brief period every 100 years, has justified its reputation. ’ ' Lough Nasuil, in County Shgo, 45 acres in extent and 30 feet deep, recently vanished with its 52,000,000 cubic feet of water. It reappeared on Monday night with a loud noise, when huge quantities of water burst forth. A man walking on the bed of the lake at the time was just able to run to the shore when the new lake formed in a few minutes.
