CHILD TOSSED BY COW

INCIDENT AT OPOTIKI. GRAZING LICENSE CANCELLED, Opotiki, August 30.' The Opotiki Borough Council last evening received a letter from Mr. W. E. Bramley, who complained that a cow with a registered collar, owned by a local resident, hart that morning tossed Mr. Bramley's little boy, aged three years, in a lane behind Mr. Brantley's shop. The boy had been badly bruised, and was attended by a doctor. Mr. Bramley attended the council meeting and stated that the cow was dangerous as well as a nuisance, having broken into his garden and done damage to plants estimated at £6. He asked the council to cancel the license for the cow to graze on the road. The council cancelled the license.
