INTER-CLUB GOLF MATCH
WAITARA - BEATS FITZROY. An inter-club golf match between the Waitara and Fitzroy clubs took place on the Fitzroy links during the weekend. Though the visitors won by eight games to three, with one all square, Fitzroy made a good showing for a young club. Following are the details, with Waitara players mentioned first:— E. A- George and W. K. Fuller v. J. R. Sutherland and S. Rollo, all square in the morning, won 2 up in the afternoon. F. MacDavitt and H. Hicks v. C. Huxford and H. E. Jacka, lost 1 down, , won 1 up. D. Purdie and K. Lye V. C. Grainger and W. H. Quickfall, lost 2 down, won 3 and 2. Webb, and Main v. A. K. Smart and F. Gorrie, won 3 and 1. and 5 and 4. A. McGregor.and R. Early v. C. Hall and J. Medhurst, won 1 up, and 2 up. Wells and Keith v. H. Wagstaff and K. Downs, won 4 and 2, lost 6 and 5.
