PRICES EXCEED LOCAL STOCK.

Satisfactory prices were realised at a sale of Taranaki pedigree Jerseys ,at Claudelands to-day, 37 heifers changing hands at an average of approximately 13J guineas and seven bulls at 15 guineas. Fourteen heifers offered on account of Waikato clients averaged under 12 guineas. The best prices were for J. Nicholson’s Riverswood Royal Queen (purchased by A. E. Williams, Hamilton) 26 gns, Riverswood Golden Grand (purchased by the auctioneers as agents) 20 gns, Riverswood Golden Beauty (purchased by R. Fleming, Waimana) 25 gns and Riverswood Kitty (purchased by R. Fleming) 30 gns, Allan L. Clark’s (Cambridge) Edgecote Sunbeam Silver (purchased by the auctioneers as agents) 48gns, E. J. Kirkwood’s Golden Fem’s Red Clover (purchased by G. R. and H. Hutchinson, Auckland) 39 gns.
