CHARGES AGAINST MACHADO
DEPOSED CUBAN PRESIDENT.
MURDER AND FRAUD ALLEGED.
By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Rec. 5.5 p.m. Havana, Aug. 15. Dr. Jose de la Vega, a lawyer, has filed charges against General Machado, the deposed President. The accusations set forth plans for committing crimes allegedly laid in the Presidential palace.
Accused with General Machado are his former Secretary to the Treasury, Secretary of State, Secretary of the Interior, chief of police Ainclart, and chief of the central district. General Machado and his associates are accused of “misappropriation of public funds, frauds, falsities, swindles, homicides, murders and the use of firearms against certain persons.”
