RAHOTU GENERAL NOTES
BOWLERS’ EUCHRE PARTY. The bowlers’ euchre party attracted a large crowd on Saturday evening. The first ladies’ prize was won by Mrs. M. Hill. Mrs. Hill made a donation to the club, which was appreciated. Other prize-winners were Mrs. J. Hart 2, Mrs. W. Hopkins 3, and Mr. F. Deegan 1, and Messrs. Gilloohly Brothers 2 and 3 respectively. Couple Honoured. A kitchen gift evening in the form of a euchre party was held in the Kahui school on Friday night, in honour of Miss M. Scheulea, Puniho, who has recently returned from Switzerland, and Mr. Mainrod Schombuckler, Kahui Road. Useful gifts were presented the guests, who will be married shortly.
Personal and General. Rev. J. Adams and the Misses Walton have gone to Auckland to be present at the marriage of Rev. H. Sinclair. Mr. Adams will officiate.
Mr. W. Weaver, jun., has gone to Wellington to visit friends. The next sewing afternoon of the ladies of the Anglican church is being held at Mrs. Weaver’s, “Pomona.” The Sunday school pupils and teachers are working hard for the annual entertainment.
