Remarking'“l dare'say the woman will be much happier,” Sir Montagu Sharpe refused to postpone sentence on a cat burglar at the Middlesex Sessions to enable the man to get married. The prisoner, Herbert Wilson, aged 3 , was described by the police as the most dangerous cat burglar who had appeared before the court for a long time. He pleaded guilty to three charges of housebreaking. and asked for 22 similar cases to be taken into consideration. . The proceeds of the burglaries were stated to be about £lOOO.
