AERO CLUB MEMORIAL

TROPHY FROM NEW PLYMOUTH. COMPETITION FOR WELLINGTON. The New Plymouth Aero Club has presented an ebony and oxidised silver trophy to the Wellington Aero Club in memory of Messrs. F. Gresser and G. B. S. King, members of the Wellington Aero Club, who were killed in a crash at Tawa Flat in October when returning from a pageant at New Plymouth. The trophy, which is to be known as the Gresser-King memorial trophy, has been presented with the suggestion that it should be offered for annual competition among club members. The trophy is a pedestal of ebony, decorated with a laurel wreath encircling an engine cowling, fitted with a propeller. Below this is the inscribed plate. Surmounting the pedestal is the figure of an eagle with raised wings.
