AEROPLANES FOR AUSTRALIA
GOVERNMENT GRANT AVAILABLE. COMMITTEE EXAMINING TYPES. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyrighi. Rec. 9.10 p.m. Melbourne, July, 18. The Commonwealth Government has notified the Air Force authorities that money is available for . the purchase of eighteen aeroplanes. A committee is investigating the most suitable types and submitting its recommendations to the Defence Department for the purchase of machines along the lines of those used by the Royal Air Force, possessing tremendous speed and efficiency.
