FEARS OF WELLINGTON MAN. CRITICISM OF THE PROPOSAL. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. “The whole idea behind the scheme-is .to get control of our butter in the hands of a small coterie in Tooley Street,” declared a prominent Wellington business man intimately connected with the trade when commenting on the proposals for the control and regulation of marketing of New Zealand butter and cheese of the Dairy Produce Importers’ Association in London to the Dairy Board. The Dairy Board made one attempt at control and made a “awful mess of it,” he added. The importers’ Association did hot represent all the buyers of dairy produce, and probably only a small group <was behind the scheme.
