BROPHY—GREEN. The wedding took place recently at St. Mary’s Church', Wanganui, of Myrtle Harriet, eldest, daughter of Mr. P. H. Green and the late Mrs. Green, Wanganui, to James Marcus, only son of Mrs. and the late Mr. Brophy, Opunake. The Rev. Father Hoare performed the ceremony.

The bride, who entered the church escorted by her father, wore a frock o£ ivory satin, the bodice having a bolero of satin and the ankle-length skirt . hip flares finished with waterfall frills of angelskin lace. The sleeves were long and slightly puffed, the cuffs being of angelskin lace. The veil, lent by a friend, was held to the head with a bandeau- of silver, lace and orange, blossoms, and fell to the ankles, forming a slight train.' - A bouquet of freesias, white rosebuds, "carnations and heather was carried. Mr. and Mrs. Brophy left by car for a tour of the North Island, the brrne travelling in a model frock of wine crepe de chine, wine felt hat and smartly cut black coat. LINN—HENRY. • The wedding took place on July 12 at the St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Stratford, of Eunice, youngest daughter of Mr. and' Mrs. J. G. Henry, Cordelia Street, Stratford, to Nelson, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Linn, Mangatoki. The minister was the Rev. J. MacGregor. The bride, who entered the church with her father,- was smartly attired in a frock of royal blue angel skin trimmed with crushed velvet in the same shade. A hat of dove grey was similarly trimmed with blue velvet. Her bouquet was in lemon tonings. Miss Jean Henry, sister of the bride, was bridesmaid. She wore a frock of grass green elephant skin trimmed with matching crushed velvet. Her salmon pink felt and velvet hat provided a pretty contrast and matched the dainty floral muff in salmon pink tonings. Mr. G. Linn, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. The reception at the residence of the bride’s parents was attended only by relatives of the young couple. Mira. Henry to receive the guts’s wore a black silk ensemble and carried a bouquet in autumn tints.- Mrs. Linn, mother of the bridegroom, was attired in a navy ensemble and carried a mauve bouquet. Later Mr. and Mrs. Linn left by car for thenorth, the bride’s ensemble being a frock of Burgundy crepe with hat to tone and a handsome musquash fur coat. ENGAGEMENTS.
