DETAILS OF THE ESTIMATES. GENERAL RATE REDUCED BY id. The following estimates, which provide a halfpenny reduction in rates during the 1933-34 firiancial year of the Stratford Borough Council, were adopted at the meeting of the council on Monday night. The general and special rates now”' total 4 l-8d compared with 4 5-8 d in 1332-33: Receipts:—License ■ fees, £1300; rents, £1350; refunds and sundries, £500; subsidy on rates, £300; rest room, £4O; library, £250; town hall, £140; Abattoir, £1100; extra water supply, £1000; cemetery fees, £200; sanitation fees, £560; main highways, £300; water rates, £1800; 10 per cent, penalty on rates, £2O; interest on fixed deposits, £125; reduction .in interest, £1500; electricity account, £12,100; from last year, £500; special rates of 25-8 d on £374,600, £4100; general rate of Ud in £ on £374,600, £2350; total, £29,535.
