GROUP HERD-TESTING
HIGH AVERAGES AT TOKO. ANNUAL MEETING OF GROUP. The annual meeting of the Toko group of the Taranaki Group Herd-testing Association was held at Toko last night, Mr. Rumball presiding over an attendance of about 40 members. After congratulating Mr. Kilsby on his herd average of 2621 b. butterfat in 285 days and Mr. G. F. Chapman on his average of 3591 b. butterfat in 250 days, the chairman referred, to the high average of the group with 61701 b. of milk at 4.7 test, giving an average of 2921 b. butterfat in 269 days from 1603 cows. The • committee elected consisted of Messrs. Rumball (chairman), T. T. Murray, H. Were, G. Were and R. C. Lawrence. Mr. C. M. Hume, secretary-organiser lof the Dominion Group Herd-Testing Federation, addressed the meeting on the lines of his address reported elsewhere.
