MANCHESTER UNITY
MEETING AT NEW PLYMOUTH. At the regular meeting of the Loyal Egmont Lodge at New Plymouth last night members of the Okato, Waitara, Wanganui and Excelsior branches of the order had the privilege of entertaining the Taranaki District Grand Master, Bro. E. G. Woodley. Associated with him were the Deputy G.M., Bro. H. Bennett, and past district officers. After the N.G. of the Egmont Lodge, Bro. M. Clow, had briefly welcomed the visitors, Bro. Woodley was called upon to present a jewel of merit to Sister H. Hall. He referred in eulogistic, terms to the fine work she was doing in her capacity of sick visitor at the New Plymouth hospital. She had volunteered for the work and for a long time had visited sick members of the Manchester Unity two days each week. On her behalf Bro. T. Clow thanked tire members of the Egmont and Excelsior lodges for the presentation. He voiced the opinion of all members of the order when he said her work was very much appreciated. Bro. J. L. Walton also spoke. After the meeting visitors were entertained at ping-pong and dancing.
