COUNTY RATES NEARLY HALF
SOUTHLAND COUNCIL’S REDUCTION By Telegraph—Press Association. Invercargill, Last Night. Reduction of the county rate for the coming year of 20 per cent, in some ridings and more in others was made by the Southland County Council today. With the present reduction this will mean that rates will be approximately 47 per cent, lower than those ruling three years ago.
