COUNTY RATES "CUT"
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) INVERCARGILL, Friday. Reductions in the county rate for the coming year of 20 per cent in some ridings, and more in others, were made by the Southland County Council to-day. With the reductions already made, this will mean that the rates will be approximately 47 per cent lower than those ruling at the commencement of the depression.
