Dates for race meetings submitted, by racing and hunt clubs using a totalisator during the ensuing 1933-34 year were approved by the Racing Conference today subject to the following amendments:— , „ ' Taranaki Hunt Club, granted September 2 in lieu of August 26. The Bay of Plenty Jockey Club wM granted one day’s racing formerly ted to the Waipapakauri Racing Chib and March 26 was granted as the date for this day. . , , , Applications by the following dubs for extra days’ racing could not be granted as there were no spare days available for allocation: Taranaki Jockey Club, Carterton Racing Club, Matamata Racing Club, Stratford Racing Club, Waipa Racing Club, Ohinemuri Jockey Club,.. Franklin Racing Club, Woodville District Jockey Club, Greymouth Jockey Club, Avondale Jockey Club, Rotorua Racing Club. Consideration of the Taumarunui Racing Club’s application for dates for two days’ racing was deferred until next meeting of the dates committee. In the meantime the Taumarunui club is to furnish evidence of the payment of stakes at present unpaid and its ability to pay arrears of conference levies and to carry on successfully as a racing club. . Protests against Hawke’s Bay being granted March 31 were made on behalf of the Wairarapa and Feilding clubs. An amendment moved by Mr. J. W. Card that the report of the dates committee be adopted with the exception of the Hawke’s Bay date was lost
