“TERRORISING CHATHAMS”
ARREST OF YOUNG BUTCHER.
ALLEGED THEFT OF . CLOTHING.

Christchurch, July 12.
“This man, in company with another, has been terrorising the Chathams,” said Chief-Detective Dunlop this morning when James Lindland Anderson, aged 22 a butcher was charged with receiving on April 1 at Christchurch clothing valued fit 70s, the property of Charles Thomson Morgan, knowing it to have been dishonestly obtained. Accused was arrested on the arrival of the steamer from the Chathams. Bail was opposed and accused was remanded in custody until Friday.
