SUPPORT IN CHRISTCHURCH.

Christchurch, July 11;

Representatives of. commercial, professional and trade union interests who attended a meeting in the Chamber of Commerce Hall last evening decided to fall into line with Auckland and Wellington in the movement that has been promoted to investigate means of reconstructing industry throughout New Zealand.

The meeting was addressed by Mr. J. D. McMillan, of Auckland, originator of the National Reconstruction Association's proposal. At the conclusion of his address it was decided that a provisional executive be formed' to carry out investigations.

The objects of. the National Reconstruction Association were outlined at a well-attended meeting of the Epsom and Royal Oak Returned Soldiers’ Association on Monday evening. The “Limited Guarantee Proposals” put forward ‘by Mr. J. D. McMillan were detailed and received favourable comment.
