FRASER ROAD NOTES
SCHOOL FOOTBALL MATCH. The monthly meeting of the W.D.F.U. was held in . the hall on Friday afternoon. Mrs. L. Jennings presided oyer an attendance which was somewhat smaller than usual. The president reported on' the recent meeting of the provincial executive in Hawera and also on the meeting to arrange for the' visit of Miss McMillan. It was decided to endeavour to arrange for classes cooking and dressmaking to be held at Fraser Road. Mrs. Jennings gave a demonstration of mat-making. Another euchre party In aid of pie hall funds was held on Friday evening and was quite well attended. The prizewinners for the evening were Miss Mildenhall and Mr, R. Scown. Dancing to music supplied by Mrs. W. Bennett concluded a pleasant evening. A return football match was played at Fraser Road between the Ararata and Fraser Road school teams. The g a ™ e » which was much more even than the first one, finally ended in Fraser Roads favour by seventeen points to fifteen. For Ararata five tries were scored toy A Tarrant while for Fraser Road tries were scored by M. Death, D. Campbell, G. Graham, W. Moller and R. Dunlop, M. Death converting one try. Mr. RRangi refereed. After the match the teams were entertained to morning tea.
