BEAUTIFICATION OF PARITUTU
RECREATION RESERVE PLANTING. CONSIDERATION BY A COMMITTEE. A decision to proceed with the beautification of the Paritutu recreation reserve was made at a meeting yesterday morning of the New Plymouth Borougn Council and Harbour Board representatives appointed to discuss the matter. Those present were Mr. W. H. Skinner (chairman), Mrs. Rex Brewster, the Mayor (Mr. E. R. C. Gilmour), and Messrs. P. E. Stainton, T. P. Anderson, J. H. H. Holm, F. Carrington and C. E. Bellringer. The Harbour Board position was explained by Mr. Bellringer and a committee comprising Messrs. Skinner, Carrington and Gilmour was set up to wait upon the board. , . Another committee comprising Mrs. Brewster and Messrs. Skinner and Carrington was appointed to go into the question of planting.
