Two little orphan children, Alastair Campbell, aged seven, and his brother, William, aged three, have completed a long journey by themselves from Atui, in the Cook Islands Group, to Waihi. They travelled by schooner, liner, train and car to their destination, where their grandmother lives. The voyage was undertaken after the deaths of their parents. A Cook Island trading schooner picked up the children at the small island of Atui, and brought them to Rarotonga, where they were obliged to sf>end some time before the arrival of the Makura. They travelled in the care of a stewardess on the steamer, which reached Wellington this week. There they were met by a friend, and on the train journey to Frankton, addressed labels were attached to their clothing. At Frankton, Mr. T. Campbell, an uncle, met his small nephews and drove them ,to their destination at Waihi.
