ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL
TARANAKI REFEREES MEET. The annual meeting of the Taranaki Association Football Referees’ Association was held on Wednesday night. Present were Messrs J. W. Hollows (chairman), J. G. Williamson, G. Lawrence, W. Johnston, T. Farley, R. Lowe. The report and balance-sheet were adopted, the latter showing a satisfactory credit. The election of officers resulted: Patron, Dr. E. A. Walker; president, Dr. D. E. Brown; five vice-presidents; chairman, Mr. J. G. Williamson; honorary secretary and treasurer, Mr. B. Page; committee, all the referees; appointment committee, Messrs Williamson, Lawrence and Page; delegate to Taranaki Football Association, Mr. G. Lawrence. It was reported that the racecourse ground for the Albion v. Waitara match was not marked out, and the delegate was instructed to place the matter before the TF.A. at its next meeting. New members elected were: Messrs Linnell, W. Hill, T. Farley, J. McKenzie and R. Lowe. It was decided that members appointed but unable to take games should notify the secretary not later than on Fridays. It was reported that official rule books were being procured, and would shortly be available from the secretary.
