Barbier (France) defeated Shields (U.S.A.) and Fraulein Aussem (Germany) 3 —6, 11—9, 7—5; McGrath (Australia) and Mlle. Adamoff (France) defeated Satoh (Japan) and Mlle. Gallett (France) 6—4, 6—3. In the second round F. Wilde (Ireland) and Miss Heeley (England) defeated McGrath and Mlle. Adamoff 6—4, 6—l, and in the third round Bernard and Mlle. Sigart (France) defeated Turnbull (England) and Miss Helen Jacobs (U.S.A.) 6 —3, 9—ll, 6 —4. In the men’s doubles Crawford (Australia) and Turnbull (South Africa) defeated Journu and Gentien (France) 6 —4, 6—2, 3—6, 6—3; Quist and McGrath (Australia) defeated Leseur and Legeay (France) 2—6, 6—4, 7—5, 6—2. In the third round of the men’s doubles Satoh and Nunoi (Japan) defeated Lee (England) and Wilde (Ireland) 3—6, 6 —3, 6-t-4, 6 —2, In the third round of the mixed doubles Crawford (Australia) and Miss Scriven (England) defeated Legeay (France) and Signorina Valerio (Italy) 6—4, 6—4; Boussus and Mlle.
