Miss Marion Hamerten has returned from a short visit to Wellington. Mrs. F. Parsons, Whenuakura, was hostess at a bridge evening on Thursday. Mrs. Tebbitts has returned to Pio Pio after a holiday at Whenuakura. Mrs. A. J. Gibbs was hostess at a flag 500 evening during the week. Mrs. A. J. Huston has returned to Hawke’s Bay after a holiday at Alton. Mrs. Hammond, Dunedin, is the guest of her niece, Mrs. R. E. Moore. Miss V. Little and Miss L. Little, who have been the guests of Mrs. A. J. Gibbs, have returned to Wellington. Mrs. Henderson, Paekakariki, is the guest of Mrs. A. Hillier. Miss L. Sutherland has returned from a holiday at Wairoa. E. Gibbs, who has been staying with her mother at Alton, has returned to Wellington. Miss Shirley Roberts is spending a holiday at Auckland. Mrs. Carroll, Midhirst, was a recent visitor to Patea and was the guest of her mother, Mrs. J. Clarkson. Mrs. Raine is the guest of Mrs. Maxwell. ■Mrs. W. H. Walton returns home today from a holiday trip to Levin, Foxton and Wellington.
