BARCELONA STRIKE RIOTS
SUSPICION OF INCENDIARISM. FOUR KILLED; TWELVE WOUNDED. By Telegraph—Press Assn. —Copyright. London, May 1. The Madrid correspondent of the Times says that the first incendiarism in connection with the strike in Barcelona, is believed to have caused the destruction by fire of two important construction companies’ depots on April 29. \Troops quelled the disorder in the streets, the civil governor closed the headquarters of the building syndicates and made additional arrests. Four have been killed and 12 wounded since the strike began. Ninety-seven recalcitrant miners emerged exhausted from a mine at Cardona on April 25 after 12 days underground. The strike was ordered by the National Confederation of Labour.
