The attention of owners and trainers is drawn to the programme of the Te Kuiti Racing Club'S annual meeting, which is to be held on Te Rapa racecourse on May 20 and 22. The programme is a particularly attractive one, the principal event, the King Country Steeple- ' chase, carrying a stake of £2OO, while the main flat event, the President’s Handicap, .is worth £175. Matthews and W. McDonald, joint owners, have decided to send Winooka to America at the end of the month to be matched against outstanding gallopers up to a mile and a-quarter.
