UNUSUALLY DRY APRIL
GISBORNE DISTRICT RECORD. By Telegraph—Press Association. Gisborne, May 1. Following rainfall well above the average during the first three months of the year April was the driest experienced during the 55 years that a record has been kept, only 33 pointe being registered on three days, compared with an average for the month of over four inches.
