AUTOMOBILE ASSOCIATION

AUCKLAND’S CHANGE OF NAME. WELLINGTON OPINION DIFFERS. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The Wellington Motor Club ,is not in agreement with the proposal to establish one automobile association for the Dominion, said Mr. Batt, chairman, at a meeting of the club in discussing the change by the Auckland Association’s name to that of the Automobile Association Incorporated. The alteration of name did not affect the existing organisation, but the North Island Motor Union should define the position. Local committees were in a much better position to deal with their own affairs-with the advantage of personal contact. The Wellington Club had taken action to see the whole question was discussed at the next conference of delegates of the various associations.
