LIVE STOCK MARKET. 5 SHEEP PRICES STEADY. Masterton, March 9. About 19,999 sheep were offered to a large attendance by the ,New ( Zealand Farmers’ Co-operative Distributing Co., Ltd., at the Masterton sale yesterday. An offering of 177 two-tooth Romney ewes on behalf of Sir William, Perry met keen competition and sold for 19s Id. .Lambs and wethers were in keen demand, and sold well.

Ewes: 2-tooth, account Sir William Perry, 19s Id; others, 19s to 12s; small do., 7s 6d to 9s sd; 4-year, 9s,to 9s 6d; 5-year, 5s to 7s 7d; s.m., 4s to ss' 0d; culls, 2s lod to 3s Id; 4 and 6-tooth, 8s 2d to 10s. Buyers , from outside helped to make the sale, although a large proportion of the entry was bought locally.
