St Patrick’s concert to be hejd in St. Mary’s Hall on Thursday, March 16, promises to be one of the best held for many years. Besides the selected National items by the Convent pupils who have been practising assiduously for weeks past, the world-famous Bridges xylophone trio from Wanganui will be present and they are worth going a long way to hear. One of their instruments, the Miramba xylophone is the best of its kind in New Zealand, measuring Bft. 4m. In length and costing £l7O. Their versatility has been responsible for Packed houses at every performance and the public of New Plymouth are advised to get there early to avoid disappointment.
