CRADLE ROLL PICNIC.

The New Plymouth W.C.T.U. cradle roll picnic was held last Saturday afternoon at Kawaroa Park. It was very encouraging to see so many children, mothers and old members. About 40 children, 50 mothers and friends were there. The children were given cakes and soft drinks on the lawn, after which they played games and each received a gay paper hat and a bag of sweets. Plunket Nurse Peterson took photographs and afterwards gave an interesting talk to the mothers on the control of the child, even from four months old. Miss Drew also spoke, and thanked Nurse Peterson and all who had helped.
