LIFE’S SWEET MELODIES.

J J (By A.G.) ' The lilt of a child’s laughter! . The joyful bark of a dog! s The song of a bird that’s happy! i The clop of a lassie’s clog! • The hum of a kettle boiling , The chime of a grand’fer clock. The cluck of a hen that’s laid an egg! The cheerful crow of a cock! The rat-tat-tat of a postman! The patter of tiny feet! The rattle of tea-time crockery! The sizzle of cooking meat! The hum of a well-tuned engine! The gurgle of a stream! The “Coo!” of an eager school boy!' The hiss of an engine’s steam! The crooning song of a mother! The crackle of a fire! The purr of a well-fed kitten! ' The voice in the village choir!
