PERSONAL PARAGRAPHS. Young folk of the Upper Mangorei district gathered at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Pearce for a surprise party on February 8. A happy evening was spent with music, games and dancing. Mrs. O’Meara and son have returned to Auckland. Miss Hart, Stratford, paid a short visit to her sister, Mrs. F. Knaup. Miss J. Young, who spent the week with her aunt, Mrs. J. Reid, has returned to Tataraimaka. Miss M. Jamison, who has been ill, is improving. Mr. J. Balsom has gone to Kent Road after spending a few days with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. H. Balsom.
