CYCLING AT INGLEWOOD
GOOD RIDING ON SLIPPERY TRACK. ZIMMERMAN’S FINE TWO MILES. There was a large attendance at the Inglewood Cycle Club’s evening sports on Thursday, and although the track was slippery there was a good exhibition of riding and no spills. Results are:—B grade, one mile: G. Parker scr. 1, L. Mace 85yds 2, E. Standing 10yds 3. Seven started. Won by half a wheel, with a length between second and third. Time, 2m. 365. ’
A grade, one mile and a half handicap: C. Burke 90yds 1, E. Stockman 70 yds 2, G. Parker 120yds 3. Eight started. Won by a wheel. Time, 3m. 40s. A grade, two mile handicap: J. Zimmerman 220yds 1, C. Burke 40yds 2p E. Stockman, 90yds 3. Eight started. Won by the length of the straight. Zimmerman rode a wonderful race. Time, sm. 10s.
The points are:—A grade: G. Parker 13, C. Burke 12, E. Standing 8, J. Zimmerman 7, V. Robson 5, E. Stockman 4. B grade: G. Parker 8, L. Mace 7, E. Standing 6, J. Zimmerman 3. The final of the Arnold George Cup will be raced on Thursday. The races will be one mile and two miles.
